Sign Variance Committee

Council may authorize minor variances to the Township of Woolwich Sign By-law provided that, in the opinion of Council, the general intent and purpose of the by-law is maintained.

The Sign Variance Committee of the Township of Woolwich is a standing committee of Council for the purpose of inquiring into and reporting on any applications for minor variances from the provisions of the Township's Sign By-law. Upon receipt of a sign variance application, the Secretary-Treasurer will arrange a meeting of the Sign Variance Committee. The applicant will be required to attend the meeting to answer the Committee's questions. 

The required sign variance fee is $200. Completed application forms and fees can be submitted at the Township Administration Office at 24 Church Street West, Elmira.
