How to Register as a Delegation/Speak to Council
Generally, all delegations are heard at Committee meetings rather than Council meetings.
Your request to appear as a delegation at any Committee or Council Meeting should be received by the Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the meeting so that you may be listed on the agenda. To register as a delegation call 519-669-1647 Extension 6009 or 6005.
Delegations are limited to a 10 minute presentation at Council or Committee meetings. In the event there are numerous delegations listed on the agenda, Council may decide to limit presentations to 5 minutes.
If you wish to distribute handout materials at the meeting, you should provide a minimum of 16 copies to the Recording Secretary for distribution.
Audio-Visual Presentations
Delegations requiring audio or video aids should arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the meeting. If you have equipment to set up, you can arrange an earlier arrival time by calling 519-669-1647 Extension 6009 or 6005. Our Council Chambers is equipped with a projector, LCD television, document camera and laptop.
All meetings are open to the public, unless otherwise permitted to be closed under the Township's Procedural By-law.
