Fire Safety Programs

There are many fire safety programs throughout the Region that work together to promote fire safety including the Waterloo Regional Children's Safety Village and the Waterloo Regional Arson Prevention Program For Children (WRAPP-C).

Waterloo Regional Children's Safety Village

The Waterloo Regional Children's Safety Village (CSV) exists - to help minimize the threats to the safety and well-being of a precious resource? children. The CSV is located at 200 Maple Grove Road, in Cambridge, and educates more than 25,000 students in Grades1-6 each year. Admission is free for student of Waterloo Region and programs include: Stranger Awareness and Pedestrian and Traffic Safety, Fire Education, Bicycle Safety and Internet Safety.

Waterloo Regional Arson Prevention Program For Children (WRAPP-C)

The Waterloo Regional Arson Prevention Program - Children (WRAPPC) is a program offered by the Kitchener Fire Department. The intent of the program is to ensure that as many of the young persons involved in fire setting behaviour have an opportunity to participate in fire educational events.
