Marriage Ceremonies

The Township of Woolwich now performs civil marriage ceremonies. Ceremonies may take place at the Township Administration Office in Council Chambers, 24 Church Street West, Elmira, Ontario or at off-site locations. Marriages may be scheduled any time. The Township Office is closed on all government statutory holidays.

Marriage Ceremony fees are:

• Full Commitment Ceremony in Council Chambers                     $250.00 during business hours (includes $50 non-refundable                         deposit)
• Full Commitment Ceremony in Council Chambers                     $350.00        during non-business hours (includes $50 non-refundable                                                                                                        deposit)
• Full Commitment Ceremony Off-Site any time                             $350.00                                                                                (includes $50.00 non-refundable deposit)
• Vow Renewal Ceremony in Council Chambers                           $125.00                                                                                      during business hours (includes $50.00 non-refundable                                                                                                                deposit)
• Vow Renewal Ceremony Off-Site location within the                  $175.00                                                                               boundary of the Township of Woolwich (includes $50.00                                                                                                                       non-refundable deposit) 
• Witness (provided by the Township, per witness)                         $25.00

NOTE: If you are unable to understand or read English, you must bring your own translator to interpret the information on the licence/application form and the civil marriage ceremony.
