What is this permit?
An entrance permit is required to legalize your access to the public right of way for your sidewalks and driveways.

Application Forms & Process
An application form can be obtained from Engineering and Planning Services of the Township of Woolwich or downloaded by clicking on the title of the applicable forms below.

Residential - To obtain the right to access a residential piece of property, a site inspection with an Engineering Technologist is required to review the size of the requested curb cut and establish the material from which the approach will be constructed. A drawing of the driveway will be required if it extends beyond the width of the garage or modification of an existing driveway.

Commercial - To obtain the right to access a commercial or industrial zoned piece of property a drawing to-scale must be submitted showing the size and location of all the accesses to the property. The drawing must show the materials to be used and how the driveway is going to be constructed. If all requirements are met and the application is approved, the permit will be sent to the applicant by mail. If the application is not approved, the applicant will be notified.
