Half Load Season

What is Half Load?
Half load season Starts March 1 and goes until April 30 of each year, half load restrictions are in effect on some older roads and gravel roads that were not built to withstand the negative impacts caused by heavy truck loads during the spring thaw and the associated rainy season.

Enforcement and Implementation
The Engineering Operations staff install 'Half Load' signs on the affected roads in the Township of Woolwich. The Township restricts heavy trucks using the roads to a maximum of five tones per axle.
