Kate's Kause, Inclusive Playground Project at Gibson Park 17 First St. Elmira
A $300,000, community build & funded accessible playground has taken shape and was completed in early July 2012, with the Grand Opening taking place September 27. Thanks to Community Sponsors and initiatives of Kelly Meisner this inclusive playground for kids of all abilities is reality, with hopes to add a sensory board in the future.
Thank you to the efforts of Kelly Meisner and a local service club in the summer of 2013 a sensory wall was added to Kate's Place and plans are on the way to add in a splash pad in the years to come.

The year 2007 was a year of transition for the Township in terms of facility development. The Maryhill Community Centre was constructed and opened for the community in October. Meanwhile, designs were completed, tenders called and contracts awarded for the following projects:
|Facility Name||Construction Date||Opening Date|
|Woolwich Memorial Centre||December 2007||September 2009|
|Administration Building||Decemer 2007||November 2008|
|Woolwich Township Arena||Decemer 2007||September 2008|
|Floradale Fire Station||January 2008||September 2008|
|Elmira Library Accessibility||January 2008||July 2008|
|Maryhill Heritage Park Community Centre|| ||October 2007|
|Breslau Community Centre||Spring 2009||March 2010|
|Breslau Fire Sub Station||Fall 2010||July 2011|
The community's role in this development plan has been widespread-throughout the various stages of design and certainly in an incredible fundraising campaign. The fundraising goal of $5.6 million is nearing completion. The community involvement has provided Council with the comfort level of knowing the community is firmly behind these projects, while also augmenting the financial resources needed to bring all projects to completion.
