Summer Camp Leaders

Our Summer Camp is a growing, exciting program, running for 9 weeks in 2021. Our Summer Camps run out of the Woolwich Memorial Centre (Elmira) and the Breslau Community Centre (Breslau). These positions will lead children and youth programming and assist with pre-camp activities within the Township. Full and part time hours are available.

Recreation & Community Services is seeking twelve (12) Summer Camp Leaders. Please review the Summer Camp Leaders job posting.

Summer Inclusion Coordinator

Our Summer Camp is a growing, exciting program, running for 9 weeks in 2021. This position will work part time hours in May until mid-June, and full-time hours from mid-June onwards.  Our Summer Camps run out of the Woolwich Memorial Centre (Elmira) and the Breslau Community Centre (Breslau). This position will be responsible for supporting summer camp leaders and campers of all abilities focusing on developing a welcoming environment designed to foster friendships and promote social interactions. In addition, the Summer Inclusion Coordinator will be responsible for liaising with parents and campers creating daily activity plans and enforcing the established guidelines governing the safety and conduct of participants.

Summer Camp Coordinator

Our Summer Camp is a growing, exciting program, running for 9 weeks in 2021. Our Summer Camps run out of the Woolwich Memorial Centre (Elmira) and the Breslau Community Centre (Breslau). This position will work part time hours in May until mid-June, and full-time hours from mid-June onwards.  These positions will be responsible for developing and evaluating summer camp programs to ensure they are well-balanced and age appropriate, liaising with parents and campers, supervising and mentoring staff.

Volunteer Firefighter

The rewards of being a volunteer firefighter are extensive. The work is exciting and challenging. Responsibilities include; fire suppression duties necessary to save life and property; combat, extinguish and/or prevent fires by rapidly and efficiently performing varied duties as required under emergency conditions; provide emergency medical response and aid; perform rescue/extrication operations where necessary to prevent loss of life or further injury; and provide service assistance with respect to the police, paramedics and the public. 

Recruitment sessions take place annually in the fall, however applications can be submitted throughout the year.

All applicants must be 18 years or older at time of application and have obtained their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (grade 12 OSSD) or equivalent at time of application. Applicants must have a valid G2 Ontario driver's license at time of application. Applicants must live within the "primary response area" of the station of choice. Unfortunately, if you do not live within the primary response area, your application will be declined.
