Election

There are two (2) methods of voting in the 2026 Municipal Election:

1. Internet voting; and 

2. Paper ballots cast in-person at specified voting locations. 

Internet voting will open on October 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. on October 26.

 Paper ballot voting will available on the following dates and times:

• Saturday, October 17, at the Woolwich Memorial Centre and the Breslau Community Centre 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Sunday October 18, at the Woolwich Memorial Centre and the St. Jacobs Fire Hall from  from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Monday, October 26, at the Woolwich Memorial Centre, Breslau Community Centre and St. Jacobs Fire Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Eligible Voters can vote anywhere in Woolwich! You do not need to vote in the Ward you live in.

You are able to vote in the 2026 Municipal Election if you:

• are a Canadian citizen,

• are at least 18 years old,

• live in Woolwich Township, or are the owner or tenant of land in Woolwich, or the spouse of such a person, and

• are not otherwise prohibited from voting.

2022 Election

In 2022, many voters in the Township of Woolwich cast their vote in the Municipal Election from the comfort of their own home or from anywhere they could access internet. In addition to internet voting, the Township offered in-person voting at numerous polling stations. The official list of candidates has been certified by the Clerk per the Municipal Elections Act.

2026 Election

Are you already thinking about the next municipal election? Starting in 2024, Elections Ontario will manage a single register of electors for both provincial and municipal elections in Ontario. You can check to see if your name is on the voters' list or manage your information through the voter registration service. You can also update or manage school support through the MAPC school support tool.

Are you 16 or 17 years old and interested in voting? If you are 16 or 17 years old, a Canadian citizen, and a resident of Ontario, you can add your name to the Register of Future Voters.
